Insurance

We welcome all patients regardless of insurance coverage. We will plan your treatment accordingly to help you afford the care you want. We work with ALL insurance plans (except Medicaid), including Ameritas, Cigna, Delta Dental, United Healthcare, Aetna and Metlife, as well as many smaller companies that may not be listed. If you do have insurance benefits, we will advocate for you and do whatever we can to help you maximize your benefits. As a courtesy, we file your claim and can accept payments from most insurance companies.

Coverage for every plan, even within the same company, is different. Please call our office and we would be happy to do a complimentary benefits check as a courtesy! All financial arrangements will be thoroughly discussed before doing any treatment. If you have any questions about using your benefits, please give us a call and we'd be happy to help you.

COMPREHENSIVE EXAM

Your first visit is an opportunity for us to get to know you and gather information about the current state of your oral health. We recommend seeing all new patients for a comprehensive exam, which usually lasts 75-90 minutes. However, every initial appointment is different and may take less or more time. We will address any immediate concerns and uncovers potential problems that may arise in the future. This thorough assessment allows us to learn much more about you and have the time to discuss possibilities for maintaining or improving the condition of your oral health. More than just making teeth look and feel great, we care about predictable, long-lasting results.

Your comprehensive evaluation will begin with a conversation with Dr. Feng. It is important for her to understand your questions, interests and concerns and to learn about your overall health and past dental experiences. She will then thoroughly examine all aspects of your oral health. Based on your input, your comprehensive evaluation may include a combination of the following that are appropriate for your unique situation: digital x-rays, photos, TMJ evaluation, bite analysis, impressions/models of your teeth. Dr. Feng will then analyze the information collected, examination results, diagnostics and photos. Sometimes a follow-up consultation may be required to go over the information and findings. She will provide a list of treatment possibilities and alternatives based on your individual situation. Our goal is for you to understand the present condition of your dental health as well as learn how to preserve or improve it. Patients are welcome to bring their spouse, parent or family member with them to the follow-up consultation.

LIMITED (PROBLEM-FOCUSED) EXAM

Dental emergencies often arise at the most inconvenient times. An injury to your teeth and gums can be potentially serious and should not be ignored. We reserve time in our daily schedule to be available for these unfortunate situations and we will do everything we can to address your concern the same day.

COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATION

When unsure of what is the best option for you, we offer a free initial consultation as an opportunity for you to meet the doctor, discuss your concerns, and receive our brief professional opinion before you make any further decisions about your dental care. It's a great chance to come see our practice to see if we're the right forever dental home for you. A consultation is different from an actual exam in that you do not meet in the treatment room and the doctor will not look in your mouth. It is offered as a chance to meet our team in person and determine the best way to begin your care at our office.
